2 in 3
US adults have no advance directive for their own care.
Directive makes complex documents interactive guides. A short video, when a question needs one. Every hard question comes with a plain-language explainer, right where you need it. And every question can be translated into your language and read aloud.
Personalized support
Real providers, on call for the questions a rephrase or video can’t help resolve.
Compliance enforced
Your answers become a document that meets your state’s requirements: formatted, worded, and witnessed the way your state expects.
Sign it. Send it.
Share it with the people you’ve named. It’s never been easier to sign and share your documents, without first printing them.
Good to know.
Is a directive made with Directive legally binding?
Yes. Once you’ve answered the questions, signed, and had it witnessed the way your state requires, it’s the same legal document you’d get from a lawyer or a paper form, just easier to actually finish.
Do I need a lawyer or a notary?
Most states only require two witnesses, not a notary or an attorney. A couple of states do require notarization. If yours is one of them, we’ll tell you before you sign, and can point you to a notary service.
Can I change my directive later?
Yes. Life changes, and your directive can too. Starting an update creates a new version to sign; your current signed directive stays in effect until the new one is executed, so you’re never without one.
Who can see my answers?
Only you, your named agent, and the care team you choose to share it with. Nothing is sold or used for advertising, and your information is handled the same way any other health record is.
How long does it actually take?
It depends on how much thought you want to give each question. There’s no timer and no penalty for stepping away and coming back. Most people move through it in one sitting, at their own pace.
